Why You Shouldn’t Fight Back

The most helpless place to be in the world is when you are being attacked by someone, slandered, or persecuted. In today’s world, it has become America’s favorite sporting event. .

It’s interesting that when a bitter king chased a pure hearted boy named David that David refused to fight back. Saul not only tried to physically kill David but tried to accuse him of everything.

David never went to battle with Saul but instead complimented him as a great warrior at the end of his life. The kid was so secure in his God that he even found good attributes of Saul to mention at his death. Why does David avoid pleading his case despite personal attacks? Why didn’t he hire a publicist or an image consultant? Because David understood something…

WHEN YOU ARE ATTACKED AND DON’T FIGHT BACK, YOU WIN THE REAL BATTLE….THE BATTLE AGAINST YOUR OWN FLESH.

Every issue is internal. Every battle is against your own flesh. The Bible says, “We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities.” The issue is always within you. David knew that it was not about protecting himself from slander, it was about protecting his heart from becoming a fleshly man waging war in the natural.

The moment you fight in the natural, you remove yourself from supernatural protection. The longer you live, the more accessible the world becomes to information, this world will only grow more cynical. This is why we must not fight in the natural. God’s opinion on how we respond to hate is more important than pleading our own case.

Tough principle to live by. But if it worked for King David, it will also work for you.
