I woke up to screams in the middle of the night from my 7-year-old daughter, “Dad I’m going to swallow my tongue.” I convinced her it was not going to happen but she somehow got a strange fear in her head. Clearly, there was no reason for her to believe that because she wasn’t sick at all. It was a freaky fear. Haven’t we all been there?
FREAKY FEARS TRY TO SNEAK UP ON US TO FORCE US INTO A PATTERN OF FEAR ADDICTION.
I mean everything is going well then we let our mind go to a crazy place of fear and it sends us on a negative pattern.
We should never allow ourselves to be convinced that living with freaky fears is a normal way of life.
The Bible tells us to “Walk by Faith.” That means the motion of our life is actively moving in the direction of faith. Freaky fears set us into a pattern of life not MOVING IN FAITH but held captive by one more thing to worry about. The devil will throw every ridiculous fear (that don’t even make sense) to get you to stop moving in the direction of victory.
Purpose in your heart that you will not live looking for the next freaky fear that may come or be consumed with one already here. Instead, live life with every belief that good things are on the way.
I will give one of my books “The Cause Within You” to five selected people who talk about a freaky fear and how they overcame it.
